Join our 2023-2024 study group, starting this fall! We are piloting our first-ever “academic-year” study group, starting this fall! We will meet once a month from November 2023 to June 2024.

Join us to read, A Foodie's Guide to Capitalism: Understanding the Political Economy of What We Eat by Eric Holt-Giménez, which discusses topics and themes, such as:

  • The mechanics of capitalism,

  • Neoliberalism and free trade,

  • The global financial system’s role in the food systems and food sovereignty of nations, and

  • The impact of capitalism on the environment and oppressed and marginalized peoples

This study group will meet virtually via Zoom once a month, with occasional opportunities to watch relevant videos or read relevant articles together and discuss via Zoom.
